Welcome to Maitside Orchards!

Nestled on the banks of the Maitland River next to the charming town of Brussels Ontario.

Our thriving orchard and farm store has become a well-known local source of fresh produce, artisan foods, home-baked goods, and more.

Maitside Orchards is owned and operated by Davin Lichty, a budding young orchardist.

The farm store features a flourishing variety of apples and apple products...

Apple cider is freshly pressed on the farm using a unique blend of apples for a rich full flavor. Fresh  pies  are baked weekly. New tree plantings are added to the orchard every year, bringing new varieties and exciting flavors to satisfy your tastes.

Apples & More Apples!

In our Country Farm Store we display four of our most popular apples varieties;

  • Honey Crisp- Sweet & Crisp

  • Gala- Mild & Sweet

  • Ambrosia-Sweet & Rich in flavour

  • Spy- Mild, soft-(The ideal baking apple !)

In our orchard we cultivate over 20 apple varieties, from the earliest ripening in July to the latest in mid-October. (Many specialty kinds are needed to make our cider rich and full in flavor!) Our varieties provide a broad range of unique flavors & textures, from sweet and mild to tart and crispy!                                  A healthy delicious snack for any time of day and for all ages!                                                      Its of great importance to us to use reduced chemicals and focus more on healthy, natural sprays.

Each week, (from approx. Sept - April) we delight in making fresh, unpasterized apple cider. Enjoy this natural taste  that is packed with nutrients that have not been destroyed by heating ! Maitside's  recipie uses selected varieties of apples from our orchard to bring out a rich, full flavor ! Enjoy a glass of this  healthy, sparkling beverage !

Apple Butter

Our apple butter is a healthy spread with a smooth texture and natural flavor. No filler or preservatives are added. We carefully select  varieties of apples from our orchard to give our apple butter a smooth, full flavour. A must try on your toast, muffins or jam cookies!
